A predictable visual compression method
Pages are rendered to images and placed back into a new PDF. This is most suitable for scans, photo-heavy PDFs, or documents intended mainly for viewing.
Not suitable for every PDF
Text-heavy vector PDFs can become larger and will lose searchable text. PDFShaper reports the before/after size so you can decide whether to keep the output.
Before you process.
Will the PDF stay searchable?
No. This compressor intentionally creates image-based pages.
Can the compressed file become larger?
Yes. Rasterizing a simple text/vector PDF can increase size. The result card shows the size change.
When should I use it?
Use it for scanned or image-heavy PDFs when visual fidelity matters more than selectable text and interactive PDF features.
